Great time at the facilities of the food company Decorgel in Porto area within the frame of the H2020 project FODIAC. My secondment envisioned the development of enhanced biopolymer capsules encapsulating bioactives to be included in food products from Decorgel. In this secondment the possibility of increasing the bioactive content and the bioavailability was evaluated based on a novel approach through the combination of the bioactive encapsulation via the electrohydrodynamic processing and a new class of green solvents.
